Frequently Asked Questions

Curious conversations are at the heart of my career coaching and our discussions will be guided by your own personal career coaching objectives.
To provide structure to our sessions, and provide depth and quality to our discussions, I have a wide selection of self-reflection tools and exercises that we can use.
These will be varied. Some may involve you thinking about scenarios or situations. Others may be questionnaires or assessments.
This personal reflection work is important. It is designed to build your self-knowledge and understanding, enabling you to get the most out of your career coaching experience.

Typically, most personalised programmes take place over four stages. This aligns with the four-stage career coaching framework which I use to underpin my coaching. Each of our four sessions will last approximately 90 minutes (and will be conducted via Zoom).
However, your personal career coaching goals will determine the length of our coaching relationship.
Our careers are often ‘work in progress’ and, if you feel you would benefit from additional support (for example, accountability coaching to help you maintain momentum with your career transition plan; assistance with CV development; interview preparation or personality assessment) then I will be happy to discuss and agree on this with you.
-
Once you begin your coaching, your sessions will usually follow approximately every two weeks.
However, you are investing time and energy to achieve the career that is right for you. This process should not be rushed and so we will agree to a schedule for your sessions that hopefully strikes a good balance between having time for personal reflection and maintaining your momentum.
-
Fortunately, technology allows me to work with you, whatever your location. We will conduct our sessions via zoom. This means you can choose a space you feel comfortable in, which is important when you are discussing your personal goals and feelings.
Engagement can be maintained using interactive tools and most of my clients find that they like the focus that these collaborative online sessions achieve.
-
Before we start any career coaching, we will have a confidential introductory discussion about your personal requirements. This is free of charge.
My pricing will be specifically tailored towards your individual needs and goals.
A pricing proposal will be provided to help you decide how to progress and we can begin working together once you have confirmed that this works for you, and we have agreed on the terms.

To get the most out of your career coaching it is important you feel comfortable working with your coach.
Being curious about yourself and your career, you will find most of the coaching process interesting and enjoyable. However, be aware that the journey to developing deeper self-awareness, can at times also be gritty and emotional.
Your coach should be able to probe and ask challenging questions, so you may find this easier if you work with someone you feel you can trust.
Making sure your career coach is professionally qualified and undertakes their own supervision and professional development should help to ensure you get the most out of your coaching sessions.
